Dennis Alan Cardoza GOIH (born March 31, 1959) is an American politician who served as the U.S. representative for California's 18th congressional district from 2003 to 2012. The district took in a large swath of the Central Valley, from Stockton to Fresno. He is a member of the Democratic Party.

Cardoza suddenly resigned from the position citing family needs, effective August 15, 2012, at midnight. [1] Cardoza did not seek re-election in 2012.
