Manas Mukherjee (also known as Manas Mukharji; 9 September 1943 — 16 October 1986) was an Indian composer who composed several albums in Hindi. He was the son of Jahar Mukherjee, a Thumri singer, composer, lyricist and a film producer based in Kolkata, West Bengal.

Dr. Manas Mukherjee holds a Ph.D. in natural sciences from the University of Heidelberg, Germany. He was a Lise-Meitner Fellow working in the group of Prof. Rainer Blatt at Innsbruck, Austria before starting his own research group at the Centre for Quantum Technologies, National University of Singapore.
Dr Manas Mukherjee obtained his PhD from the Technical University Berlin, Germany, in 2008. He worked on the solidification of metal foams. Before that, he received his M.Sc. (Engg.) in Metallurgy from the Indian Institute of Science Bangalore in 2005 and B.Tech. in Ceramic Technology from the University of Calcutta in 2002.
