Eric Carr - Wikipedia. Paul Charles Caravello (July 12, 1950 – November 24, 1991), better known as Eric Carr, was an American musician. He was the drummer for the rock band Kiss from 1980 until his death in 1991. Caravello was selected as the new Kiss drummer after Peter Criss departed.
Eric Carr remained a member of KISS until his death from heart cancer. He took up the rustic orange persona of “The Fox” and was one of the fan favorites. Rockology is Eric Carr’s only solo which features former KISS guitarist Bruce Kulick.

ERIC CARR. THE LIFE OF A LEGEND. HOW IT ALL BEGAN. Born as Paul Charles Caravello on July 12, 1950, to Albert and Connie Caravello, Carr was of Italian descent. He grew up in the East New York section of Brooklyn in New York City. Paul attended the High School of Art and Design. He majored in photography, but later decided to become a cartoonist.
Eric Carr was one of the most prolific drummers in the 1980s in an equally prolific band. His story is one of perseverance and hard work, a celebration as well as an untimely death overshadowed by another music icon of his generation. For his fans, Eric continues to remain an inspiration long after his death.
