Matthew Edward Wilson (born September 27, 1964) is an American jazz drummer. Early life and education. Wilson was born in Knoxville, Illinois. He studied percussion at Wichita State University . Career. Wilson moved to New York City in 1992, and has worked with Lee Konitz, Cecil McBee, and Dewey Redman. [1] .
