Richard Darryl Way (born 17 December 1948 in Taunton, Somerset, England) is an English rock and classical musician who was a founding member of Curved Air and co-writer of their Progressive Rock seminal albums from 1970 to 1976. He is best known as a violinist although he also plays keyboards.

Darryl Way. At age 16 won a scholarship to Dartington College of Arts to study violin. At 18 turned down a scholarship to the Guildhall School of Music to study under Antonio Brosa at the Royal College of Music. Brosa himself was a pupil of Sarasate, the 19th century virtuoso violinist and composer.

He's been a permanent member of that act in several brief periods - 1969-72, 1974-76, 1990 - and from 1998 and onwards his tenure appears to have become more stable.
