David Miller está há muitos anos tratando de um câncer no cérebro e, cansado, escolhe a eutanásia como uma saída. Para tanto ele procura a ajuda de uma organização que presta eutanásia assistida, com a qual marca dia, horário e local. Esperanza é enviada para ajudá-lo, em um hotel projetado por David e sua falecida esposa, décadas atrás, que hoje está decadente.
