The Sentimental Policeman (Russian: Чувствительный милиционер) is a 1992 Ukrainian (Ukrainian-French production) comedy film written and directed by Kira Muratova. It entered the competition at the 49th Venice International Film Festival.
This article reflects on the cultural work of poetry published by English policemen in a professional periodical, the Police Review and Parade Gossipy in the early years of the 1890s. In doing so, I focus on the sentimental, middle-. brow verse produced by policemen as an instance of what Charles LaPorte.
