On the run from the dangerous loan shark, Solly Kramer, for owing him $12,000, Lucky, a small-time crook, is rescued from the mobster's henchmen by the kindly former convict, Daniel Hughes, and his highly trained Dobermanns.
Lucky is rescued from Solly's thugs by a born-again Christian named Daniel Hughes who has a team of trained Doberman pinschers. When Lucky goes undercover at a circus, he convinces Daniel to create an act for the dogs and join him, which he does.
