Sep 7, 2020 · This article argues that urban justice is a field of political philosophy in its own right, and that the recognition-theoretical approach is capable of expressing what is at stake there. It proposes a conception of human space as a normative conception of space that is structured by different patterns of recognition, and tests it on two urban issues: segregation and gentrification.
