A woman joins the Navy Seals despite tough opposition.
Anne Bancroft. Jordan O'Neill is the first woman ever given the opportunity to earn a place in the elite Navy Seals. But the already brutal rigors of training camp turn into an unimaginable test of determination once it becomes clear that no one wants her to succeed.
Navy leaders, confident that a woman would quickly drop out, become concerned. The media learn of O'Neil's involvement, and she becomes a sensation known as "G.I. Jane." Soon, she must contend with trumped-up charges that she is a lesbian and is fraternizing with women.
