Feb 7, 2022 · I know very little German but I can tell this is a good movie. Gustaf Gruendgens was a great actor. The costumes are amazing. I'm sure this is not the accurate story of W.F. Bach but it got me interested in him. And there is some beautiful music in it. It was made in Nazi Germany (disclaimer) but it is just a typical 1940s movie.
