At a small hacienda in rural Mexico Rita and Mateo have relocated in a sort of domestic experiment- raising chickens, dissecting poetry from the German Romantic period, indulging in pleasures of the flesh, far from the chaos of urban life.
Passionately in love and eager to live together, Rita and Mateo leave the city to take refuge in the apparent tranquility of a country house. But Rita’s desire to have children conflicts with Mateo’s taciturn nature, and unexpected visitors cause some trouble. Slowly but surely, cracks arise.
