I was left disappointed by the way the movie portrayed queerness and the gaze of the movie (cishet male gaze). Independent and strong-willed Diya, now 22 years of age, is training to be a traditional Nepalese dancer. She forms a deep escalating friendship with another dance pupil, Kiran.
