Aug 27, 2020 · History . As one of the prettiest neighborhoods in the city, Rittenhouse Square is situated on the west side of Broad Street. Anyone who has spent time here knows that the real heart of this area is a leafy green public park, also called Rittenhouse Square, that stretches between Walnut Street and Rittenhouse Square South and is bordered by 16th and 18th Streets to the East and West.
Things To Do In Rittenhouse Square 1. Walk In The Park. Rittenhouse Square is one of the largest parks in Philadelphia, and it’s gorgeous. The main walkways run diagonally at the corners and meet at a central oval. There’s a large bed filled with flowers as well as flower-filled urns and statues throughout the square.
May 1, 2020 · Rittenhouse Square (18 th and Walnut) is about 4 blocks away from the Suburban Station (five to 10 minute walk). There is a Barnes and Noble at the corner of 18th and Walnut). If you are in New Jersey, consider taking the PATCO Speedline. The last stop is 16 th and Locust, which is less than 2 blocks form Rittenhouse Square.
