Wallis as executive producer), directed by Michael Curtiz and starring Errol Flynn, Olivia de Havilland, Basil Rathbone, and Ross Alexander.
A historical action film based on Rafael Sabatini's novel, starring Errol Flynn as a rebel doctor who becomes a pirate in the Caribbean. Nominated for five Oscars, the film features swashbuckling duels, naval battles, romance and a famous soundtrack.

Captain Blood: His Odyssey is an adventure novel by Rafael Sabatini, originally published in 1922. Development. Sabatini was a proponent of basing historical fiction as closely as possible on history. Although Blood is a fictional character, much of the historical background of the novel is loosely based on fact. [1] .
