Ram Jaane ( lit. 'Ram Knows') is a 1995 Indian Hindi action thriller film directed by Rajiv Mehra about an unnamed boy (portrayed by Shah Rukh Khan) who grows up to become a gangster. He uses the name Ram Jaane after meeting with a priest who in response to the boy asking what his real name was, said " Ram Jaane" (Ram knows).

Summaries. A social worker tries diligently to steer a group of wayward street urchins on the right path. But his childhood friend, now a fearless gangster, plans to bring the children into his fold. Ram Jaane is arrested by a security guard after stealing cargo from a train with his best friend.
Ram Jaane is an orphan who was taken in by a local gang leader, Bela (Pankaj Kapoor), and raised to become a street thug. Despite being a criminal and always on the wrong side of the law, Ram Jaane has a good heart and is loved by many in the slums.
