Mount Ararat (/ ˈ ær ə r æ t /, ARR-ə-rat; Armenian: Արարատ, romanized: Ararat) or Masis (Armenian: Մասիս) also known as Mount Agirî (Kurdish: Çiyayê Agirî) and Mount Ağrı (Turkish: Ağrı Dağı), is a snow-capped and dormant compound volcano in eastern Turkey and nothern Kurdistan.
