Scream 2 is a 1997 horror thriller film directed by Wes Craven with a screenplay by Kevin Williamson. It is the second installment of the Scream film series. As with the other films, it combines straight-forward scares with dialogue that satirizes conventions of slasher films, especially (in this case) slasher film sequels.
Sidney Prescott and Randy Meeks attend Windsor College, where a new Ghostface killer targets them and other survivors of the Woodsboro murders. The killer is revealed to be Mickey, a fan of the horror genre, who wants to blame cinema violence for his crimes.
