Mirza Shahab-ud-Din Muhammad Khurram (5 January 1592 – 22 January 1666), also known as Shah Jahan I ( Persian pronunciation: [ʃɑːh d͡ʒa.ˈhɑːn]; lit. 'King of the World' ), was the fifth Mughal emperor, reigning from 1628 until 1658. During his reign, the Mughals reached the peak of their architectural and cultural achievements.
Shah Jahān (born January 5, 1592, Lahore [now in Pakistan]—died January 22, 1666, Agra [now in India]) was the Mughal emperor of India (1628–58) who built the Taj Mahal. He was the third son of the Mughal emperor Jahāngīr and the Rajput princess Manmati.
Shahjehan is a 1946 Indian Hindi language film. The film was directed by Abdul Rashid Kardar and written by Kamal Amrohi. It starred K. L. Saigal, Ragini, Kanwar, Nasreen and P. Jairaj. The music was composed by Naushad with Majrooh Sultanpuri making his debut as a film song lyricist. Khumar Barabankvi was the other lyricist in this film.

After winning the war of succession post the demise of his father Jahangir, Shah Jahan successfully ruled the empire for 30 years.
