Drunks. (film) Drunks is a 1995 American drama film starring Richard Lewis and directed by Peter Cohn . The film first aired on television on Showtime in August 1995, then had its first theatrical premiere at the Boston Film Festival that September. Synopsis. At the beginning of a nightly Alcoholics Anonymous meeting, Jim seems particularly troubled.
