The first film in the series is Ator l'invincibile released in the year 1982, translated into English as Ator the Invincible. It was released in America as Ator, The Fighting Eagle. As the film opens, Ator asks his father for permission to marry his sister. Ator's father tells Ator that he is adopted and is allowed to marry his sister if he likes.
With training and guidance from a man named Griba, Ator, son of Torren learns of his heritage and purpose in life: to defeat the Spider King. He goes to the Temple of the Ancient One to avenge the deaths of his fellow villagers, and rescue his sister from the evil Dakkar and his spider cult.
The spider cult attempts to kill Torren's son, Ator, so the prophecy of him defeating the spider king will not be fulfilled. Ator's village is destroyed on his wedding day by the spider cult and...
