Cathedral Seminary House of Formation was a Roman Catholic seminary college in the Douglaston, Queens section of New York City. It was founded in 1914 as a minor seminary for the Diocese of Brooklyn, eventually growing to two New York City campuses in Brooklyn and Queens.
In 1967, Cathedral College of the Immaculate Conception converted to a four-year college seminary and moved to Douglaston, New York. The Queens and Brooklyn campuses of Cathedral Preparatory Seminary were separated from the college.
In 1967 Archbishop McEntegart established Cathedral College of the Immaculate Conception in Douglaston. This full four-year college seminary was to serve the Dioceses of Brooklyn and Rockville Centre as well as the Archdiocese of New York.
For many, they then attended the Seminary of the Immaculate Conception (Huntington, LI) before being ordained for the priesthood. But many took other vocational paths entering religious orders, medicine, law, education, and other avenues of service.
