This is a flagship programme of the JNCASR, introduced in 1991. Science and engineering students at the bachelors and masters level are placed at institutes of repute all over the country, for two months training in the areas of their interest in the Life Sciences, Chemical Sciences, Physical Sciences, and Engineering.
The Jawaharlal Nehru Centre for Advanced Scientific Research ( JNCASR) is a multidisciplinary research institute located at Jakkur, Bangalore, India. It was established by the Department of Science and Technology of the Government of India, to mark the birth centenary of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, the first prime minister of independent India.
JNCASR is a deemed university funded by DST, Govt of India, and pursues world-class research and training in various science and engineering fields. It has several thrust areas such as Chemistry and Physics of Materials, Molecular Biology and Genetics, Neuroscience and Theoretical Sciences.
A national institution for scientific research in frontier and interdisciplinary areas, established in 1989 by the Department of Science and Technology, Govt. of India. The Centre has a main campus in Jakkur, Bangalore, and maintains close links with the Indian Institute of Science.
