Satoshi Kon (今 敏, Kon Satoshi, October 12, 1963 – August 24, 2010) was a Japanese film director, animator, screenwriter and manga artist from Sapporo, Hokkaido, and a member of the Japanese Animation Creators Association (JAniCA).
Satoshi Kon was a Japanese writer, director and animator of acclaimed anime films such as Perfect Blue, Millennium Actress and Paprika. He died of pancreatic cancer in 2010, leaving his final project Yume Miru Kikai unfinished.

Satoshi Kon was a Japanese director of anime films. Kon started his career as a manga artist and editor in Young Magazine, and then made his screenwriting debut with Magnetic Rose, a section of the anthology film Memories.
