Marleen Gorris (born 9 December 1948) is a Dutch former writer and director. Gorris is known as an outspoken feminist and supporter of gay and lesbian issues which is reflected in much of her work. [1] [2] Her film, Antonia's Line , won an Oscar for Best Foreign Language Film in 1995 [3] [4] making her first woman to do so in this category.
Marleen Gorris is a Dutch filmmaker who has directed and written movies such as Antonia's Line, A Question of Silence and The Luzhin Defence. She was born in 1948 in Roermond, Limburg, Netherlands and has been nominated for a BAFTA Award.
