Daughter of a classical dancer Mrinalini Sarabhai and space scientist Vikram Sarabhai, Mallika is an accomplished Kuchipudi and Bharatanatyam dancer and performer who has specialized in using the arts for social change and transformation.
She is the daughter of the Indian space scientist- Vikram Sarabhai and the Mrinalini Sarabhai, founder of Darpana Academy of Performing Arts. Her mother was also a dancer and she started learning dancing when she was very young. At the age of 15, she also started her acting career.
