The post graduate Government College, Sector 11, Chandigarh was established in 1953. It was shifted to its present campus in 1960. The college is affiliated to Panjab University for graduate and postgraduate courses.
The college follows semester system of education for UG and PG courses. Admission to some courses is centralized, and for some it is non-centralized. Admission to all classes is an online process, from filling up of the admission form in the online prospectus to payment of fee.
