Army Institute of Technology (AIT) Pune was established in 1994 for the purpose of educating the children of army personnel in India. AIT Pune is affiliated with Savitribai Phule Pune University and approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).
AIT admission is based on the All India Ranking obtained in the Joint Entrance Exam (Main) conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA) and some weightage is given for wards of disabled Soldiers, War Widows and Gallantry Award winners.
