Franchino Baresi OMRI ( Italian pronunciation: [ˈfraŋko baˈreːzi; -eːsi]; born 8 May 1960) is an Italian football youth team coach and a former player and manager. He mainly played as a sweeper or as a central defender, and spent his entire 20-year career with Serie A club AC Milan, captaining the club for 15 seasons.

Raised in the parish youth club of Travagliato, in the Brescia plains, Franco Baresi joined AC Milan’s first team as a very young boy during the 1977/78 season. A year later, at the age of eighteen, he won his first league title, putting the star on the jersey for 10 league wins.
