Mehmet Esen (d. 13 Ekim 1958, İstanbul ), Türk tiyatro, sinema ve dizi oyuncusu ve yönetmendir. Yaşamı ve kariyeri. Sanata yatkınlığı, altı yaşında sahnede izlediği Münir Özkul 'dan etkilenerek Cihangir İlkokulunda sahneye koyup sergilediği tek kişilik oyunuyla ortaya çıkan Esen, Ankara Atatürk Lisesinde okurken tiyatroya ilgisini sürdürdü.

Bio. Mehmet Esen served in the Turkish infantry as a corporal during the Korean War. He was part of the first Turkish soldiers that went to Korea. These soldiers fought in the memorable battle of Kunu-ri. Mehmet Esen spent time in the hospital after a wound in battle.

Biography. Born in 1958, Mehmet Esen left school early, ran away from home and took refuge in the theatre, where he began acting. Without work after the political turbulence of the early 1980s, he contrived a living touring cafés with a stand-up act, much in the style of an Ottoman public storyteller.
