She grew up in Syracuse, New York, where her family had a home at 1805 Harrison Street. Her father, Dr. James B. Kenyon, was a Methodist Episcopal Church minister at University Church.
Doris Kenyon was a silent film actress who co-starred with Rudolph Valentino and Milton Sills. She also appeared in sound films and TV shows, and was the mother of Doris Day.
