DAVID Stratton wrote his first movie review at the age of seven. With the benefit of hindsight, his subject — The Overlanders (1946), an Australian Western starring Chips Rafferty — proved to an exceptionally fitting choice. Stratton, who was born in Wiltshire, England, travelled to Australia in 1963 for what was supposed to be a short stay.
