Vitaly Dmitrievich Belyakov was an academic of the Academy of Medical Sciences (AMN) of the USSR and the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences (RANS), MD, and professor. As one of the foremost academic epidemiologists, he had a signifi cant infl uence on the development of the national epidemiological and medical science in general.
Vitaliy Belyakov was born on 10 June 1928 in Staraya Russa, Leningrad Oblast, RSFSR, USSR [now Novgorod Oblast, Russia]. He was an actor, known for Perestupi porog (1970), Pristupit k likvidatsii (1984) and Surovyye kilometry (1970). He died on 28 January 2001.
