Rolf Hoppe (6 December 1930 – 14 November 2018) was a prolific German stage, cinema, and television actor, who played in more than 400 films in a career which spanned over six decades.
Rolf Hoppe (* 6. Dezember 1930 in Ellrich, Landkreis Grafschaft Hohenstein; † 14. November 2018 in Dresden) war ein deutscher Schauspieler. Er spielte in mehr als 400 Filmen und wurde dem Publikum vor allem in seinen Rollen als Bösewicht in DEFA-Indianerfilmen sowie als König im Märchenfilm Drei Haselnüsse für Aschenbrödel (1973) bekannt.

In 1995, Rolf Hoppe fulfilled one of his dreams: he founded and became the director of the Hoftheater Dresden in his hometown of Weißig. Hoppe, who was also known for his audio plays, died on November 14, 2018.
