Akash Khurana is an Indian actor, screenwriter, theatre artist and entrepreneur. His first screen appearance was in Shyam Benegal's Kalyug. He has appeared in nearly 60 films, including Ardh Satya, Saaransh, Naam, Beta, Saudagar, Sarfarosh, Company and Barfii. He has written over 20 screen plays, including Aashiqui and Baazigar.
Akash is a co-founder of Nimbus Communications (a leading sports, media, and entertainment company) where he became an HR Advisor, Chief Creative Officer, CEO and MD, and Chairman. Initially, he did a lot of theatres with renowned theatre personalities- Satyadev Dubey, Sunil Shanbag, and Naseeruddin Shah .

Akash made his debut with the Shyam Benegal movie Kalyug in 1981, and has since appeared in around 60 feature films, primarily in character roles. As a screenwriter, he is best known for co-writing the Shah Rukh Khan starrers Baazigar (1993) and Duplicate (1998), the former of which won him a Filmfare Award for Best Screenplay in 1994.
