M. H. (Maurice Henry) Hoffman (March 21, 1881 – March 6, 1944) was an American studio owner and film producer. In the 1920s and 30s, Hoffman made films for seven different studios. [1] He is particularly associated with Poverty Row where studios he founded - Allied Pictures , Liberty Pictures and Tiffany Pictures produced mainly low-budget B pictures .

H reflexes are tested with and without vibration. Vibration is applied to the tendon of the muscle being studied. The effect can be seen over a wide range of vibrations, but typically a frequency of about 100 Hz is used with an excursion of about 1 mm. The effect can be studied over the range of H-reflex amplitudes.

Jan 1, 2024 · Definition. An H-reflex (also called a “Hoffmann reflex”) is the earliest response of a muscle to stimulation of large afferent fibers in the muscle nerve. If the nerve stimulation also excites large efferent fibers, the H-reflex is typically preceded by an M wave (or M response), which reflects excitation of the muscle by these efferents.
