2017–2018: MIXNINE, FAVEGIRLS
In October 2017, she became a contestant on the survival show MIXNINE, where she would represent FAVE Entertainment. Through the show's run, she maintained a ranking in the top nine spots. On December 31, Lee Soojin, alongside fellow FAVE Entertainment trainees Kim Bowon and Lee Soomin, were involved in a car accident. Unfortunately, she had to withdraw from the show in order to recover from stomach surgery. On October 21, 2018, she was revealed as the first member of FAVEGIRLS.
2020: Debut with Weeekly
On May 11, 2020, her profile photo for Weeekly was revealed. The group debuted on June 30 with the mini album We Are.
