Mikhail Romanovich "Mischa" Bakaleinikov (also spelled Bakaleynikov and Bakaleinikoff; Russian: Михаил Романович Бакалейников; November 10, 1890 – August 10, 1960) was a noted musical director, film composer and conductor.

Bakaleinikoff was from a large musical family. His brothers were Nikolai Bakaleinikov (flautist, composer and conductor), Vladimir Bakaleinikov (violist, composer and conductor), and Mikhail (Mischa) Bakaleinikov (composer). He studied at the Moscow Conservatory.
Born in Moscow during the Tsarist era, Mischa R. Bakaleinikoff was a music student at the time of the Russian Revolution and he eventually fled the turmoil of the Bolshevik era, arriving in the United States in 1926.
