    Siddique-Lal made their screenwriting debut with Sathyan Anthikad directed comedy flick Pappan Priyappetta Pappan. The movie hadMohanlal, Rahman and Lizzy in the lead roles.

    Siddique-Lal wrote their second script for the classic comedy movie Nadodikkattu, directed by Sathyan Anthikad. The movie, which had Mohanlal and Sreenivasan in the lead roles, is considered as one of the iconic comedy flicks of Malayalam cinema. It was later followed by the sequels Pattanapravesham and Akkareyakkareyakkare.

    Siddique-Lal made their directorial debut with Ramji Rao Speaking. The movie, which had Mukesh, Saikumar and Innocent in the lead roles, emerged as one of the highest grossers of the year and earned the 'cult comedy' status.     Siddique-Lal penned the script for the movie, which was directed by Paulson. The movie which had Mukesh, Innocent and Saikumar in the lead roles, was a critical and commercial success.

    Mannar Mathai Speaking, which was a sequel of Ramji Rao Speakingwas penned by Siddique-Lal and directed by Mani C Kappan. Mukesh, Saikumar and Innocent reprised their roles from the original while Vani Viswanath and Biju Menon played the other pivotal roles.

    Hitlerwas the independent directorial venture of Siddique, which was produced by Lal. The movie emerged as a huge commercial success and later got remade into all South Indian languages; as well as Bollywood.
