Dec 17, 2021 · Andrew Lockington: The on-site thing was probably born out of - one of the first big studio films I did, or one of the early ones, was a film called Journey 2: The Mysterious Island with The Rock and Michael Caine, and it was directed by Brad Peyton. And Brad really challenged me on that film to find the sound of Melanesia, Polynesia - but the actual historic, ancestral sound of that, not the missionaries’ or the colonialists’ version.
