Aditya Assarat (Thai: อาทิตย์ อัสสรัตน์, born 1972) is a Thai independent film director, screenwriter, producer and cinematographer.

Aditya Assarat is a director, screenwriter, producer, and the manager of Purin Pictures, a fund supporting independent cinema in Southeast Asia. We met with him on 24 February 2020 at Pop Pictures in the Samsennok, Huai Kwang District in Bangkok.
Biography. Aditya Assarat studied film at the University of Southern California. In 2004, he was invited to participate in the Sundance Director’s Lab and was honored as the first recipient of the Rolex Arts Initiative mentorship to work with director Mira Nair.
