Darren Dean (born February 2, 1966) is an American film producer, screenwriter, and director. He is best known for the independent feature films Prince of Broadway [1] [2], Kinyarwanda [3] [4], tangerine [5] [6] [7], and The Florida Project [8] [9] [10] [11].
Darren Dean was born and raised in Northern New Jersey, where he still resides. He is a graduate of William Paterson University. Prior to entering the world of film, Dean was a respected journalist and front-man for the popular New York-based rock band, Shot.
