Katarina Witt (German pronunciation: [ˈkataʁiːna vɪt], audio ⓘ; born 3 December 1965) is a German former figure skater. A two-time Olympic champion, Witt is regarded as one of the greatest ladies' singles figure skaters of all time.
Katarina Witt (born December 3, 1965, Karl-Marx-Stadt, East Germany [now Chemnitz, Germany]) is a German figure skater who was the first woman to win consecutive Olympic gold medals (1984 and 1988) in singles figure skating since Sonja Henie in 1936.
