Fereshteh Taerpour ( Persian: فرشته طائرپور; 4 February 1953 – 17 August 2021) was an Iranian movie producer. She was born in Tehran. Her career began in 1982. She was best known for writing the screenplay for the 1999 comedy Once Upon a Time.
Nov 16, 2023 · Taerpour was the first Iranian member of the International Center of Films for Children and Young People and was a member of the center’s Board of Directors between 2000 and 2002. She was also the first female filmmaker who served as the chairman of the Board of Directors of the House of Cinema, Iran’s Alliance of Motion Picture Guilds.
Fereshteh Taerpoor was born on 4 February 1953 in Tehran, Iran. She was a producer and writer, known for Facing Mirrors (2011), Auntie Frog (2018) and Goodbye Shirazi Girl (2020). She was married to Manoochehr Shahsavari. She died on 17 August 2021 in Tehran, Iran.
