Robert Liebmann (5 June 1890 - July 1942) was a German screenwriter. Being of Jewish ancestry, he was one of the many that were murdered by the Nazis in 1942. During the occupation of France by the Nazis, Liebmann was arrested and sent to the Drancy internment camp.
Robert Lieibmann was German newspaper film and stage critic who became a successful screenwriter with such films as The Love Waltz (1930), Congress Dances (1931) and Blued Angel (1931). In the mid 1930s Liebmann was beckoned to Hollywood by actress Mady Christians to help jump start her flagging career.

Nach dem Abitur studierte er von 1908 bis 1913 an den Universitäten von Freiburg im Breisgau, München und Berlin Jura. Ab 1914 schrieb er Theater- und Filmkritiken für die Deutsche Allgemeine Zeitung, ab 1916 für die Berliner Morgenpost und ab 1918 für die B.Z. am Mittag. Damals begann er, Libretti, Texte für Revuen und Filmdrehbücher zu verfassen....
