Changing your password won't have an effect on the note to self messages - if they are spam, the spammer is sending them to your address and faking the From address. If you never send yourself email, create a rule to delete mail from your address to your address.

Aug 1, 2023 · Report abuse. The sign-in attempts may have nothing to do with your sending "note to self" email. Almost all online accounts get attacked. What you need to make sure is your password is long and complex and enable 2 factor authentication. You aren't hacked unless you see "successful sign-in" but it isn't your device or IP address.

Once you've created this rule, all future "note to self" emails will be automatically moved to the specified folder. consider using the "To-Do" list within Outlook instead of sending yourself notes to self. The To-Do list allows you to organize and manage tasks effectively.

There are emails that say are in our inbox, but they aren't showing up. They show up with a little yellow clock next to the attachment but it's all in an email called Note to Self.
Mar 1, 2023 · My work-around was to setup a new Folder (called it My Notes) and then setup a 'rule' to forward emails from me and to me, to that folder. It works, seems the rule moves the emails to my notes folder, before the Junk mail catches them. Still think it is a stupid default in Outlook to consider emails from and to self, Junk.
May 13, 2020 · Spammers can fake the from address on the messages - don't click links in the message. You can create a rule for messages from your address, delete in Outlook.com's settings: Settings (gear icon) > View all Outlook settings > Rules. M365 MVP, specializing in Outlook, Exchange, and Microsoft 365 apps. I'll do as you have instructed.
