The new contract will take effect immediately, with MacRae joining Pat Coyle and Jason Bishop on the bench for the upcoming 2023-24 NLL season.

Not long after Dan MacRae fired home the overtime goal that lifted the Riptide to the first win in franchise history on Saturday night, the veteran defenseman and team captain was concluding his post-game television interview.
Aug 16, 2022 · An 11-year NLL veteran, MacRae currently serves as captain of the Riptide. Last season, MacRae played in 18 games and finished with 12 points on five goals and seven assists, scooped 83 loose balls and caused 18 turnovers. He was named to the NLL All-League Second team in 2019-20.
