Jun 5, 2024 · Chennai South election result: T Sumathy alias Thamizhachi Thangapandian of the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) has secured a decisive victory in the Chennai South constituency. She garnered a total of 516,628 votes, surpassing her closest competitor, Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), by a margin of 225,945 votes.
