Chup Chup Ke. Jeetu (Shahid Kapoor), a small town hustler, is constantly in debt and dodging creditors. His father, a retired schoolteacher and fiance are made to suffer the consequences of his financial instability. He is constantly being told off and being forced to kill himself in shame.
In overwhelming debt, young Jeetu jumps in the ocean to drown himself so life insurance money can reimburse his creditors. He is rescued by two explosively idiotic, out-of-area fishermen (boat-owner Gundya and deckhand Bandya) who believe him deaf and stupid, which Jeetu elects not to contradict.
