Jin-Woo Ahn (Senior Member, IEEE) was born in Busan, South Korea, in 1958. He received the B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees in electrical engineering from the Pusan National University, Busan, South Korea, in 1984, 1986, and 1992, respectively. He was a Vice President of the Korean Institute of Electrical Engineers (KIEE), Seoul, South Korea.
Ahn has been an Editor of the Transactions of the Korean Institute of Electrical Engineers (KIEE) and KIEE International Transactions on Electrical Machinery and Energy Conversion Systems since 2001. He is a Senior Member of the KIEE and a member of the Korean Institute of Power Electronics.
